How Was It For You?

“Thanks again for a fantastic gig at ACE Space. A warm community atmosphere, a great crowd, and some of the finest gig catering we’ve ever experienced! We hope to come back soon!” – Hannah Martin

“What a great night that was last night.  We really enjoyed it.  Well done to you and the team for such great choices/organisation etc.” – Hilary Stockwell

Thanks to the chance encounter when Steve Knightley came across Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin busking this duo came to the attention of the wider public when they toured with Show of Hands.  Since that time they have gone from strength to strength being awarded Best Duo in the 2014 BBC Folk Awards and nominated again in 2016 along with many other awards and plaudits.
The alchemy of Martin’s ever evocative songwriting, fiddle and banjo playing and the much extolled skills of Henry on dobro, harmonica and lap steel fuse into a wholly distinctive world sound – songs of lament, tunes of hope, and totally unpredictable twist and turn music.  Never forgetting the pair of fabulous voices working in tight harmony.
