November 2017 – supporting Jaywalkers
How Was It For You?
“Performing at Ace Space is everything an artist could wish for – a quiet receptive audience, magnificent sound system, well crafted stage and lighting, and all together a wonderful community experience, bringing people closer to the music we all love.” Saskia Griffiths-Moore
Sakia first came to our attention after several folks recommend her after seeing her busking in Newbury. When we discovered she had met the Jaywalkers at a bluegrass festival this was the obvious gig to invite her along to.
Saskia is a 24 year old independent English singer songwriter from London who tours the folk and acoustic scene year round. Frequently compared to Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell and Eva Cassidy for her pure, clear voice and nu-folk style repertoire, her music blends the classical simplicity of folks songs with contemporary moods, melodies and meaning.
Previously one of the worlds youngest Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapists with a practice on Harley Street London, in 2014 she left it all behind to pursue a career in music. She has since had three releases, run three successful crowdfunding campaigns and won a substantial arts council grant to tour her debut album Gentle Heart (2016).
